My question is which notion of representation is posited by current computational theories in cognitive neuroscience.

Oron Shagrir is associate professor of Philosophy and former chair of Cognitive Science at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. His main areas of interest are philosophy of mind/cognitive science, and history and philosophy of modern computing. He has published papers in Mind, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, Philosophical Studies, Philosophy of Science, British Journal for the Philosophy of Science, and more.
